Lunar Graze Occultation of ZC2268 (2 Scorpii) - 31st August 2006
The video clip can be downloaded here. (3.1Mb)

A southern limb event observed about 7km north of Illford on the Mudgee Road, west of Sydney. The plot on the left shows the star's flux as the moon grazed past the star. The star disappears behind lunar mountains and reappears in the valleys. The star is a multiple system with two very close components at 0.1" separation and the third component at 2.1". For some events the two close pair disappear, leaving the third component in view and at other events the three components disappear completely. I was the only observer.

The detail light curve plot can be downloaded here. note the very brief events H to N, these have a duration of about 1 second which means hillocks of about 10 metres high are enough to extinguish the stars.

Lunar Graze Occultation of ZC3325 - 28th November 2006

A southern limb event observed by 20 obsevers at 3 sites.

The video shows 16 events from 1 track of the 20 tracks and 150 events observed.
